Our mission is to save lives, keep our community informed on humane education, training and loving treatment of our companions, and finding the best fit for both the animals in our care and potential forever families!

We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization. As a foster-based rescue organization we do NOT have a shelter and keep animals in foster homes. We have a group of amazing foster parents who open up their homes to provide these babies a safe, loving, and caring environment while find them great forever homes.

We appreciate any donations to help fulfill this mission. You can do that easily using PayPal below.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A PET?

Our process starts with an adoption application to get to know your needs and wants in an animal companion. Every animal's temperament is different, even within breeds, so the more information we share, the better placement we can make for you AND our animals. We do a phone interview, a home visit, and vet check to ensure the best possible placement that will last a lifetime. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, click Adoption Application to fill one out online. We strive to make FOREVER placements and the best matches for our animals AND the families searching for a lifetime companion.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A VOLUNTEER?

There are many opportunities to volunteer with ART. We cannot save any lives without our fosters, so whether you are an experienced foster or a novice, we provide you with the best resources to help you help the animals, including training and behavior assistance when needed. All supplies are provided -- crate, food, leash, harness, etc. and you decide what type of dog is best suitable for you. We also need help with fundraisers, marketing, returning phone calls, adoption counselors, transporting animals from foster homes to vets, etc. There are lots of opportunities at ART! If you are interested in spending even a little of your free time helping the homeless animals in ART, please contact us at artadoptions@animalrescueoftexas.org
