Snoopy lost his mama recently and ART was contacted by a member of the family for help, and we were happy to oblige. Snoopy was very depressed, unsure of what was going on and had not been eating much since he lost his mama. In his new foster home, he has canine, feline and avian brothers and sisters. Though he had a rough first few days, his canine brothers and sisters have helped him along and he is adjusting well. Snoopy is from the country so he was used to going out and about at his leisure so, of course, he mastered the doggie door in no time so he is able to continue to go out at his pleasure.
Snoopy loves to go on walks and was a quick learner walking on leash. He MUST be walked twice a day, because being the good boy that he is, he only poops when out on his walks. He was not treat motivated at first but will now take treats when his foster brothers and sisters enjoy midday treat time. He was a bit of fussy eater and did not eat any kibble that was provided by the family member, but has now decided that he will gladly eat wet food. Snoopy loves to sleep on the sofa or bed, after making his bed with his favorite blankies. He is calm, laid back, has not yet barked once and gets along with all the dogs and cats. He does seem to have a keen interest in the birds at the foster home so he may have been chasing chickens or other game. He also loves to chase squirrels.
Snoopy is not crate-trained and refuses to even step into a crate so we are not forcing the issue. However, he is house-trained. He will do well in a home either with or without another pet, but with great humans. He is neutered, chipped, just had a dental, and up to date on vaccinations.
If you are looking for a laid back, chill dog who loves human company then, Snoopy is your guy!
