ADOPTED!!! Hugo is an energetic 13-month old French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix. He adores people and loves to run and play games. Hugo recently graduated from a beginner\'s training session and has mastered a few commands. He really learnd well with positive reinforcement and praise. This little guy weighs in around 27 lbs. and is a little taller than your standard Boston Terrier. He plays well with small dogs and a few larger ones. He prefers not to be put into group play settings like dog parks because he feels overwhelmed and gets very dog aggressive. He is threatened by larger dogs, so a person must be willing to keep him on-leash for brief introductions. He would flourish in a home with a large backyard and with older children who could lavish him with the attention he desires. He would do best with a small- to medium-sized canine friend who is well-adjusted and playful. His favorite pastimes include chewing presed bones, tossing around squeaky toys and chasing a laser beam. He does not particularly like a crate to rest in, so gentle persuasion will be needed. We discovered Hugo does not like to be separated from his people for too long, so giving him a Kong filled with peanut butter is a great distraction tool. Bedtime is always peaceful - he sleeps quietly on his dog bed for 8 hours or so. He does well when there are rules and structue in place. Hugo is eager to please a very special person or family. Hugo, which is currently being fostered in Colorado, is current on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
