I consider myself a true blue Southern gentleman and have been told that I have all-American good looks and lots of floppy eared, hound dog charm. I am an easygoing fellow who gets along well with children, cats (I live with one in my foster home) and other dogs, too.   Slider LOVES children and is very gentle with them.

While I don't have a southern drawl, I do have a famous hound dog "Arrrroooo!" that I use every once in a while, but save for only the most dire emergencies (like the squirrel that just won't leave the yard!

My hobbies include running in the backyard, playing fetch and chomping on squeaky toys, but most of all I love relaxing while being petted and told how incredibly handsome I am. I've been working on some commands to impress you. I know how to sit, down, wait and I am working very hard on learning "drop it ".

My foster mom says I am what they call a "special needs" dog. Although my housetraining is perfect, during the night sometimes I leak a little bit in my sleep - it can range from a few drops to a small splash. (It is not incontinence) My friends at ART have spent thousands of dollars in medical testing and treatments to find that I have a genetic defect that cannot be surgically treated. My foster mom deals with this easily by putting down a little extra cotton padding on top of the bed and changing it each morning, if needed. Other than this, I am a totally healthy and happy hound.

All of our animals come fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped. Our adoption fee is $150 for dogs, $85 for cats and $85 for senior pets.
